Did you know that:

. CO₂ emissions regarding use and production of cork stoppers are 26 times less than the emissions from use and production of aluminum caps and 10 times inferior when compared to plastic stoppers.

. 1 single hectare (10.000 m²) of montado (cork oak forest) is responsible for the sequestration of 5,7 ton of CO₂ every year.

. The harvesting of cork oak every 9 years represents only 4% of its total biomass volume, thus maintaining almost intact CO₂ retained by the tree.
